I know what you are probably thinking…that is not the same room. But rest assured, it is most definitely the same room!
The white boards between the black beams were removed to expose floorboards as well as a strip at the top of the beams which hadn’t been painted in black. The beams, of which some were old originals and some were new added at a later date, were painted in thick, black paint. We restored them to a light Antique Oak finish.
If these were to have been ‘sanded’ or ‘stripped’ our client would have been left with a mismatch of beams of different colours.
